Automatic Self-Cleaning Overband Magnetic Separator

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Automatic Self-Cleaning Overband Magnetic Separator is a type of separator used to remove ferrous materials from conveyed products. These separators are installed above conveyor belts, and the captured ferrous particles are discharged automatically by the system. Since the conveyed material does not come into contact with the magnet, the separator can be used with moist, sticky, or even heated materials up to 150°C.

The separator must be designed in appropriate dimensions depending on the installation position (cross-belt or inline). AKSA MAGNET designs the system based on the necessary information provided by the customer.

The width and length of the separator depend on the required working distance between the magnet and the conveyor belt. The conveying speed of the material is also an important factor.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
The magnetic separator is suspended above the conveyor belt. The magnetic field generated by the internal magnets attracts ferrous and ferromagnetic materials toward the continuously rotating belt, which then carries them out of the product flow and automatically discharges them from the system. This ensures that unwanted metallic contaminants are removed efficiently.
