Belt Drum Separator
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Also known as a dry cleaner (separator), the Belt Magnetic Drum Separator is used to obtain concentrate, semi-concentrate, and gangue minerals from coarse ferromagnetic materials up to 300 mm in size.
During ore cleaning, the particle size distribution typically spans a wide range. Therefore, separators are equipped with different magnetic configurations and pole arrangements to apply the necessary treatment to the ore.
The primary design objective of these separators is to distribute the material as effectively as possible within the magnetic field.
The rubber belt is supported by idler pulleys to withstand the impact force occurring at the feed point. The scraper located beneath the magnetic drum is rubber-coated for wear resistance and can be easily replaced.
The motor assembly is mounted on the rear drum and consists of a gearbox, belts, pulleys, and motor. If necessary, the belt speed can be adjusted between 0.5 and 2.5 m/s.
PERFORMANCE AND CAPACITY
The capacity and performance of the separators vary depending on the material and several criteria, including:
-
Mineralogical composition
-
Particle size distribution
-
Moisture content
-
Degree of liberation
-
Magnetic properties of the material
-
Ratio of magnetic to non-magnetic particles
When selecting the appropriate equipment, the following design criteria must be determined.
