Roller Crusher

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

Roll Crushers are designed for primary, secondary, and tertiary crushing of materials such as coal, salt, clay, bauxite, limestone, and other minerals with similar characteristics used in mining, power generation, and many other industries.

Roll Crushers are among the most widely used crushers in the mining sector due to their high capacity, ability to process even wet materials, and minimal dust generation.

Their simplified design provides excellent reliability and requires very little maintenance. Roll Crushers are designed with an internal tramp relief system that allows uncrushable materials to pass through without damaging the equipment, enabling the crusher to continue operating and return to its original product setting.

Roll Crushers have long been used in mining and recycling industries for a variety of applications, including coal, trona, salt, glass, and other friable minerals.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:

Whether an application requires a single-stage or two-stage crusher, the forces needed to perform the crushing process remain the same: a combination of impact, shear, and compression.

  • Impact force occurs when the material enters the crusher and is struck by the rotating roll.

  • Shear and compression forces occur as the feed material is drawn between the crushing plate and/or the crushing rolls.

Depending on the feed size, the material encounters a single roll or a pair of rotating rolls. If two-stage reduction is needed, a Triple Roll or Quad Roll Crusher configuration may be used.

In the upper stage of the crusher, primary reduction is achieved by crushing the material between the roll and the crushing plate or between a pair of rolls. The material is then fed directly between the two lower-stage rolls for additional processing.

If only single-stage reduction is required, a Single Roll or Double Roll Crusher may be selected depending on the feed-to-product size reduction ratio. Regardless of the type selected, Roll Crushers help minimize fines production by enabling material to break along its natural fracture lines.
