Dry Drum Magnetic Separator

Product Description

The dry drum magnetic separator continuously removes tramp iron and magnetic minerals from dry, free-flowing material. It consists of a stationary permanent magnet assembly and a non-magnetic stainless steel shell that rotates around it.

Depending on the duty it is built with a low-intensity ferrite or a high-intensity rare earth (NdFeB) magnet arrangement. Its design allows easy installation in existing lines, and it runs with low energy use and little labour.

How It Works

Material is fed from the hopper by a vibratory feeder onto the drum as a thin, even layer. Non-magnetic particles are thrown forward by the centrifugal force of the rotating drum. Magnetic particles are held on the shell, carried to the end of the magnetic field and discharged into the rear chute. The splitter angle is adjusted to the required product quality.
