Eddy Current Separator
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Eddy Current Separator facilitates the complete separation of three different types of materials—non-ferrous metals (diamagnetic materials), neutral materials (glass, stone, plastic, wood, etc.), and ferrous metals—into separate containers. It is a separator designed to recover industrial diamagnetic materials (such as aluminum, copper, brass, etc.) from waste streams, thereby minimizing environmental impact.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The Eddy Current Separator operates based on the induction of electric currents when a conductive material is exposed to a high-frequency, alternating magnetic field. The separator uses two types of rotors: a high-strength rotor for precise or special separations, and a standard rotor for processing less complex material streams.
When the magnetic rotor is in operation, it generates a high-frequency alternating magnetic field on its surface. As diamagnetic material enters this field, eddy currents are induced within the metal. The resulting repulsive force pushes the material out of the magnetic field, allowing it to be separated and recovered.
APPLICATION AREA
This separator is widely used in the recycling industry for processing waste, automobiles, and electronic equipment.
