Electro-Permanent Lifting Magnets

Product Description

Electro-permanent lifting magnets are used mainly to lift large steel plates. Their holding force comes from permanent magnets; power is used only to switch the magnet on and off.

The magnets switch on or off in no more than 2 seconds. They are unaffected by power failure and keep their last state, so they do not drop the load. Custom designs are available.

How It Works

A short electrical pulse reverses the polarity of the magnet blocks, switching the field at the face on or off. When on, the load is held without continuous power.
