Hydrocyclones
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The purpose of using a hydrocyclone is to achieve particle size classification.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The slurry is fed into the cyclone under pressure through the inlet. As the feed enters the chamber, the slurry inside the hydrocyclone begins to rotate, generating centrifugal force and accelerating the movement of particles toward the outer wall.
The particles move downward in a spiral pattern from the cylindrical section into the conical section. At this point, finer particles migrate toward the center and spiral upward through the vortex finder, eventually discharging through the overflow outlet.
Larger, heavier particles maintain their downward spiral motion along the conical wall and are discharged gradually through the underflow nozzle.
STRUCTURAL FEATURES OF THE HYDROCYCLONE
a. The inner lining material of the hydrocyclone is made of alumina ceramic.
b. An optimized flow path, smooth inner surface, and fewer potential leakage points provide better classification efficiency, easy installation, and simplified maintenance.
c. The easy replaceability of the vortex finder and underflow nozzle offers significant advantages for on-site maintenance.
