Product Description

The hydrocyclone classifies particles by size (and density) in wet processes. It is widely used as a classifier in grinding circuits and for desliming and water recovery.

How It Works

Slurry is fed under pressure through a tangential inlet and begins to spin rapidly inside the body. Centrifugal force drives coarse, heavy particles to the outer wall, where they spiral down the cone and leave through the bottom outlet (apex). Fine particles move to the centre and exit through the vortex finder to the overflow.
