PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Overband Permanent is a type of separator used to remove iron pieces from the material flow during transport. These separators are mounted above the conveyor, and the captured iron pieces are automatically discharged from the machine. Since the transported material does not come into contact with the magnetic separator, it allows the separation of moist, sticky, and even heated materials up to 150°C.

The Overband Permanent must be designed in appropriate dimensions depending on its operating position (cross-belt or in-line with the conveyor). AKSA MAGNET designs the unit according to specific information obtained from the customer.

The width and length of the separator depend on the required working distance between the magnet and the conveyor belt. Here, the conveying speed of the material is an important criterion.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The magnetic separator suspended above the conveyor belt generates a magnetic field through its internal magnet, attracting iron and ferromagnetic materials passing on the conveyor. These materials are then transferred onto the continuously rotating belt of the Overband Permanent and removed from the product stream. In this way, unwanted materials are separated from the conveyor and discharged automatically.
