Self-Cleaning Permanent Overband Magnet
Product Description
The self-cleaning permanent overband magnet continuously removes tramp iron from conveyed material using permanent magnets that need no power. Because the magnet does not touch the burden, it also handles damp, sticky and hot material up to 150 °C.
It is sized for belt width, burden depth and belt speed, for installation across or in line with the belt. Each unit is designed from the customer's process data.
How It Works
Suspended above the conveyor, the magnet lifts iron and ferromagnetic pieces onto its face. A cleaning belt running continuously around the magnet carries them out of the field and drops them beside the conveyor.
