Roll Magnetic Separator
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Roll Magnetic Separator is a type of dry magnetic separator featuring high magnetic field intensity, permanent magnets, and a roll-type design. It is used for the beneficiation and purification of low magnetic susceptibility materials with particle sizes ranging from 0.1 to 25 mm.
The magnets used are made from rare earth alloy materials, offering significantly stronger magnetic performance compared to conventional magnets. Because of this feature and the special magnet arrangement, very high magnetic forces are generated on the magnetic roll. These high magnetic forces enable the efficient separation of fine and weakly magnetic minerals at high yields.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
The machine consists of a supporting frame, feed hopper, feeder, magnetic and non-magnetic rolls, conveyor belt, drive motor, and control panel. Roll Magnetic Separators are typically used after crushing and screening processes. Minerals reduced to -25 mm in size and with a maximum moisture content of 5% are fed in a controlled manner onto the conveyor belt via the feed hopper and feeder.
As the conveyor belt moves over one magnetic and one non-magnetic roll, the material reaches the magnetic roll. Non-magnetic particles are thrown away by centrifugal force and directed to the non-magnetic discharge chute. Magnetic particles, however, remain attached to the belt due to the magnetic attraction of the roll and continue to travel until they exit the magnetic field. Once released, they fall into the magnetic discharge chute.
