Stainless Steel Separator

Product Description

The stainless steel separator is an ultra-high-intensity metal separator that removes stainless steel and weakly magnetic metals from recycling streams. Stainless steel is a valuable product to recover, and if missed it can damage process equipment such as crushers.

The magnetic rolls use the strongest permanent magnets currently available (peak around 22,000 gauss). It is designed mainly to recover stainless steel from fractions below 20 mm in cable and wire recycling; larger models handle pieces up to 125 mm.

How It Works

Material is carried on a thin belt to a high-intensity magnetic roll. Stainless steel and weakly magnetic metals are held on the roll and released into a separate chute, while non-magnetic material falls on its normal trajectory. A splitter plate sets the cut.

Applications

  • Cable and wire recycling

  • Fine fractions from shredder plants

  • E-waste recycling

  • Slag and ash processing
