PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Thickener units are equipment used to recover large volumes of water by settling very fine solid particles in wastewater, thereby reducing the product/waste volume of the facility. Thickener bodies are manufactured in steel up to 20 meters in diameter, and for diameters larger than 20 meters, they are constructed in reinforced concrete.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Fine-particle slurry is fed into the feed well at the top of the thickener together with polymer. The rake mechanism rotates slowly, pulling the settled solids toward the central discharge point. Clarified water overflows from the launder channels at the top and is collected in the clean water tank. Thanks to the automatic torque-controlled hydraulic drive unit, the rake mechanism is protected from excessive loads.
