Trommel Screen
Product Description
The trommel screen is a rotating cylindrical screen that separates material by particle size or captures solids from waste water. It can screen fine and coarse products from 100 microns to 20 mm.
How It Works
Material or waste water is fed into the rotating screen drum. Particles smaller than the aperture pass through with the water, while oversize particles and solids are retained and carried to the discharge end by the rotation. In waste water applications, solids on the screen are removed by a scraper and sent to a collection hopper.
