PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The High-Intensity Wet Electromagnetic Separator (WHIMS) is an efficient piece of equipment used for processing fine and weakly magnetic minerals such as hematite, limonite, wolframite, ilmenite, manganese, and tantalum-niobium ores. It can also be used for the purification of non-metallic minerals.
The separator ring rotates vertically together with the matrix, and the discharge direction of the magnetic product is opposite to the feed direction. WHIMS is a well-established and proven technology in the industry.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

The magnetic zones consist of matrix plates that capture magnetic particles from slurry with a solid concentration ranging from 0–50%. Once the magnetic particles are collected and transported out of the slurry, they are washed off with rinse water and discharged as a separate magnetic concentrate.
The electromagnetic coil generates an adjustable magnetic field between 0–24,000 Gauss.
With newly designed matrices, product purity and process efficiency have been significantly improved.
Additionally, a reinforced vibration motor ensures constant dynamic movement of the slurry within the tank.

The WHIMS system is suitable for use in metallic ore beneficiation as well as in the removal of iron contaminants from industrial minerals.
